Dosing

When can I administer Remsima® SC?1

Always use Remsima® SC exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure about the administration schedule, please check with your doctor.

If you are initiating Remsima® SC treatment

  • DAY 1

    1st infliximab IV infusion

    • Administered as an Intravenous infusion of infliximab into vein by qualified healthcare professional.1
  • WEEK 2

    2st infliximab IV infusion

    • After 2 weeks, Infliximab is administered again as an IV infusion into vein by qualified healthcare professional.1
  • WEEK 6

    1st SC injection

    • After 4 weeks, the 1st SC injection is given by qualified healthcare professional trained to avoid injection related issue.1
  • WEEK 8* EVERY 2 WEEKS

    SC injection at home

    • After 2 weeks, you are now allowed by your healthcare provider to self-inject Resima SC in the comfort of your home after training.1
    • Relax and be confident with your self-injection!

If you are switching from infliximab IV maintenance therapy

  • Last IV (infliximab) infusion

  • WEEK 8

    1st SC injection

    • After 8 weeks, the 1st SC injection is given by qualified healthcare professional trained to avoid injection related issue.1
  • WEEK 10* EVERY 2 WEEKS

    SC injection at home

    • After 2 weeks, you are now allowed by your healthcare provider to self-inject Resima SC in the comfort of your home after training.1
    • Relax and be confident with your self-injection!

Important dosing information1

MISSED
DOSE
Missed dose for up to 7 days

If patients miss an injection of Remsima® SC, they should be instructed to take the missed dose immediately in case this happens within 7 days from the missed dose, and then remain on their original bi-weekly dosing schedule.1

Missed dose for 8 days or more

If the dose is delayed by 8 days or more, the patients should be instructed to skip the missed dose, wait until their next scheduled dose, and then remain on their original bi-weekly dosing schedule.1

ADMINISTRATION
Re-administration across indications

In case maintenance therapy is interrupted, infliximab should be re-initiated as a single dose of intravenous infliximab followed by the maintenance dose commendations of subcutaneous infliximab described above given 4 weeks after the last administration of intravenous infliximab.1
